PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
BITUMSEAL, BITUMSEAL FLEX is a two-component, highly elastic cement-based material for protection and waterproofing in conditions of positive and negative groundwater pressure.
BITUMSEAL, BITUMSEAL FLEX consists of minerals, cement, hydraulic additives and latex.
BITUMSEAL, BITUMSEAL FLEX combines elasticity, adhesion and water resistance. It provides excellent adhesion to the following surfaces: concrete, wood, metal, etc.
BITUMSEAL, BITUMSEAL FLEX has been tested by the Israeli Institute of Standards, and where it is approved for contact with potable water, and therefore for use in tanks, swimming pools and other containers of civil and industrial purposes.
APPLICATION
Applicable under conditions of positive and negative groundwater pressure. Applicable for waterproofing of tanks, swimming pools, storage tanks for drinking water. It is applicable for waterproofing of concrete walls and floors before facing with natural stone (dry or wet), for waterproofing of basements, kitchens and bathrooms, for waterproofing of internal vaults in tunnel construction, due to high adhesion to various surfaces and excellent elasticity, the material can be used as a primer or a binder component with other systems.

APPLICATION METHOD
Remove dust, dirt, oil stains from the surface.Wash the surface with a jet of water and remove any residual moisture.Remove bulges, embedded gravel, outlets of wires and fittings, and then seal the holes before applying waterproofing.Smooth the corner of the floor-wall with appropriate materials 48 hours before applying BITUMSEAL, BITUMSEAL FLEX.Pour the liquid from the plastic bucket (10 kg) component B into the container of a mechanical mixer. Stir and slowly pour the contents of the bag of component A. The resulting mixture should be thoroughly mixed until a homogeneous paste is formed. Apply the prepared mixture on the surface of the wall, in contact with water or moisture, using a brush or spatula. It is recommended to use components B BITUMSEAL, BITUMSEAL FLEX in two colors for even application of alternating layers. Apply 2-3 layers with an interval of 12-24 hours, in a crosswise direction using alternating colors. 6-10 hours after the last coat of BITUMSEAL FLEX has dried, wet the surface twice a day for 2-3 days.
MATERIAL CONSUMPTION
For waterproofing and sealing a tank or pool without finish coating:
1.25 kg/m², in 2 layers, thickness of each layer -1mm. To protect against water pressure of 3 atm. or more, apply a third coat.
For waterproofing and sealing with subsequent laying of tiles:
1.25 kg/m², in 2 layers, thickness of each layer -1mm of BITUMSEAL FLEX coating; then 1.25 kg/m² of BITUMSEAL coating - to ensure better adhesion of the adhesive to the substrate.Then apply a super elastic adhesive solution (class C2TES1, for example, Quick Mix, Poland), the consumption of adhesive for laying ceramic/ceramic tiles - 7 kg/m², for mosaic tiles - 4.5 kg/m², grouting joints with Ardex grout, consumption 1 kg/m².
POTLIFE OF THE PREPARED MIXTURE
No more than 90 minutes. It is recommended to stir the mixture every 15 minutes.
PACKAGING
BITUMSEAL FLEX:
Component A, powder: 25 kg paper bag Component B, liquid: 10 kg plastic bucket
BITUMSEAL:
Component A, powder: 20 kg paper bag Component B, liquid: 5 kg plastic bucket
POST-APPLICATION CLEANUP
Rinse wet composition with plain water. Clean the hardened composition with acetone.
STORAGE
Store components in their original packaging in a dark and dry room for up to 8 months from the date of manufacture.
Do not apply materials at temperatures below + 5 ºC and above 35 ºC. In closed rooms without proper ventilation, make sure the first coat is completely dry before applying the second coat (if necessary, use radiators to accelerate the drying process).
