Bituminous mastic Mastigum Speed
MASTIGUM SPEED - MODERN WATERPROOFING TECHNOLOGY IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF UNDERGROUND STRUCTURES SHALLOW, ENGINEERING COMMUNICATIONS, INTERIOR ROOMS (BASEMENTS).
SCOPE OF APPLICATION Waterproofing for: underground structures buried not more than 5 m; engineering communications; transport facilities; terraces and yards (before laying paving tiles); internal premises (wet areas, bathrooms, basements).
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
MASTIGUM SPEED is an elastic two-component bituminous mastic. First component A- bitumen-elastomeric paste. Second component B- polymer-cement powder. After curing it forms a high-strength and durable insulation layer in the temperature range from -30 up to +100°C. The high elasticity of the material combined with good tensile strength makes it an effective material for reliable sealing. The mastic can be easily applied on vertical surfaces. It is non-toxic and non-flammable. MASTIGUM SPEED (A+B) is a brown paste-like substance applied by brush, brush or mechanized airless spraying machine.
MAIN PROPERTIES

Mastigum Speed liquid rubber is a quick-drying two-component elastic bituminous mastic. Waterproofing for shallow underground structures, courtyards, porches, terraces, interior rooms (wet areas, bathrooms, basements), tile roofs.
RULES OF USE AND STORAGE
General Provisions.
Apply on a firm, clean and dry substrate. Remove unstable particles of concrete, dirt and grease from the surface. The joints between the floor and the walls should be rounded (fillet).
Cracks and holes must be sealed.
Preparation of components:
Pour component B in a container with component A slowly and constantly stirring with an electric drill for 2 minutes until a homogeneous mass is formed. The mixture is ready for use within 60 minutes of mixing. When spraying the material should be used within 20 minutes.
Waterproofing of foundations (underground structures of transport facilities):
(a) The surface must be dry and clean. If polymer-bitumen coil material has been laid on the horizontal surface of the base slab, it should be melted to remove dirt and soften the bitumen, apply Mastigum Primer diluted with water at a ratio of 1:5, diluted with water at a ratio of 300 g/m2 before applying the first coat of MASTIGUM SPEED.
(b) Spray/apply the 1st coat of MASTIGUM SPEED at a rate of 3.5 kg/m2.
(c) Mastigum Primer, diluted with water at a ratio of 1:3, is used to strengthen the adhesion between coats of MASTIGUM SPEED. Consumption 250 g/m². Primer has a drying time of 1-2 hours.
(d) 5-18 hours after application of the 1st coat of MASTIGUM SPEED. Spray/apply the 2nd coat of MASTIGUM SPEED at a rate of 3.5 kg/m2.
Total amount of material applied 7.0 kg/m2 (dry thickness of 4 mm).
(d) Lay a geotextile with a density of at least 150 g/m2 for the 2nd layer, if the vertical waterproofing is done, lay a 0.5 mm HDPE membrane.
Waterproofing of bathrooms and showers (with subsequent tiling):
(a) Apply Mastigum Primer at a rate of 300 g/m2 before the first coat. Drying time 1 hour.
(b) Spray/apply the 1st coat of MASTIGUM SPEED at a rate of 1.5-2 kg/m2. Curing time of the 1st coat is 2-3 hours.
(c) Mastigum Primer diluted with water at a ratio of 1:3 is used to enhance adhesion between coats of MASTIGUM SPEED. Consumption 250 g/m², drying time 1-2 hours.
(d) Spray/apply the second coat of MASTIGUM SPEED at a rate of 1.5-2 kg/m2.
Total amount of applied material 3.0-4.0 kg/m2 (dry thickness of 2 mm). Drying time 12-24 hours.
(e) Lay tiles directly on top of the waterproofing layer to ensure that all layers adhere to each other and to the substrate
Waterproofing operated roofs (with tile laying as the final coating):
The base of the roof before applying waterproofing must be strong.
(a) Apply Aquapoxy two-component epoxy primer at a flow rate of 250 g/m2. Drying time - 1 hour. In case of porous (loose) concrete apply an additional 150-200 g/m2 of Aquapoxy primer and let dry for 1 hour.
(b) Spray/apply the 1st coat of MASTIGUM SPEED at a rate of 3 kg/m2. Curing time of 1st coat 3-4 hours.
(c) Mastigum Primer diluted with water at a ratio of 1:2 is used to enhance adhesion between coats of MASTIGUM SPEED. Consumption 200 g/m², drying time 20-30 minutes.
(d) Spray/apply the second coat of MASTIGUM SPEED at a rate of 3 kg/m2.
Total amount of applied material 6 kg/m2 (dry thickness of 3 mm). Drying time 60-72 hours.
(f) Apply Mastigum Primer at a rate of 300 g/m2 and spread a 150 g/m2 geotextile over the fresh layer. Drying time 12 hours.
(f) Place the tiles directly on top of the waterproofing layer reinforced with geotextiles.
